Craighead Co., AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — March 5, 2025 — A Craighead County inmate could face an additional charge after deputies said he hurt another inmate during a fight.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Lt. Kaycee Hall with the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office told Sgt. Charles Garr that there was a fight in the detention center in which an inmate hit another inmate and broke his jaw in two places.

Video showed the inmate, 27-year-old Adrian Terrell Johnson, of Jonesboro, came out of his cell and punched the inmate on the right side of his face, knocking him to the floor.

The affidavit noted that due to the incident, the inmate would need surgery to repair the damage.

On March 5, Craighead County Judge David Boling found probable cause to charge Johnson with second-degree battery/purpose of causing injury.

The online jail roster shows that Johnson was arrested in October 2024 and is being held on no bond on several charges including kidnapping, assisting other agencies, failure to present proof of insurance, and non-payment of fines.

Johnson’s next court appearance is scheduled for April 24.
