Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — April 8, 2025 — The Craighead County Clerk’s Office is conducting the 2025 odd-numbered year address voter confirmation program.
The program, mandated by federal and state law, is part of the National Voter Registration Act and the Help America Vote Act. It helps ensure voter registration lists are accurate and current.
There are two types of odd-year mailers currently being processed: the confirmation mailer and the cancellation mailer, according to a news release from the Craighead County Clerk’s Office.
The confirmation mailer is a blue card that a voter could receive if there has been no activity with their registration during the last federal election cycle. If you receive a blue card from the clerk’s
office, complete it and return it to the clerk’s office to confirm your voter registration address. Return postage has been prepaid.
The cancellation mailer is a yellow card that a voter could receive if they have not responded to the last confirmation mailer or have not had any activity with their registration during the last two federal election cycles. If you receive a yellow card from the clerk’s office, complete it and return it to the clerk, as you have been removed from the active roster.
To be reinstated, voters must complete and return the yellow card, or they will be required to re-register to vote and participate in an election.
“If you receive either of these cards, it is extremely important for you to complete the card and return it to the clerk’s office as soon as possible. Again, please note that postage has been prepaid,” a news release from the county said.
