Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Aug 2, 2024 – The filing period opened at 8am on Wednesday for independent candidates running for municipal offices in cities with a Mayor-Council form of government. The filing period also opened for candidates for school board for districts that vote in the November general election. The filing period will remain open until 12 noon on Tuesday, August 7.
Candidates must file their petitions with the county clerk’s office in the county where the election will take place.
