Conard Kenward McDaniel, 91, of Paragould, passed from this life on August 4, 2024 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Conard was born January 1, 1933 to Thomas and Ynonie Barnhill McDaniel. He retired from Emerson Electric where he worked as a lineman. Conard served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a faithful member of Browns Chapel Baptist Church. Conard was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed quail hunting and raising bird dogs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christine McDaniel; great-granddaughter, Lisa Steele; and his sister, Margie Hildbrand.
Conard is survived by his children, Roger Steele and his wife Pam of Glenwood, Arkansas, Darrell Steele and his wife Rhonda of Glenwood, Arkansas, Gary Steele of Paragould, Arkansas, and Pat Wagster and her husband Mitch of Glenwood, Arkansas; grandchildren, Daniel Steele, Emily Steele, Eric Steele, Perry Steele, Andy Anderson, Steven Anderson, Christopher Steele and Wade Steele; great great-grandchildren, Laura, Jenna, Colton, Ethan, Violet, Axel, Rowdy, Chad and Brynne; and nephew, Marty Hildbrand.
Graveside service with U.S. Army honors will be Monday, August 12, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Browns Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Royce Boling officiating. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.mitchellfuneralhomes.com.
