Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – March 7, 2025 – The City of Jonesboro has announced a community development block grant (CDBG) for eligible nonprofits. The deadline to apply for the grant is Monday, March 10, 2025, at 4 p.m. Eligible nonprofit organizations can apply for the CDBG Public Service program directly with the City of Jonesboro.
In order to apply, nonprofits must be located in Jonesboro, AR and serve Jonesboro residents. Nonprofits can receive up to $20,000 and the funds can be used to cover the costs of personnel costs, program operating costs and contract services.
The grant is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the CDBG program. The major focus of this program is, “to provide a suitable living environment, decent housing, social services and economic opportunities in low-income areas, and low-to-moderate income persons,” according to the City of Jonesboro’s Department of Grants and Community Development. Applications will be reviewed by a citizen advisory committee.
