Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Jan. 10, 2025 – Governmental offices for both the City of Jonesboro and Craighead County are closed today due to the wintry weather.

All county offices and courthouses are closed today. However, essential services such as the Sheriff’s Office, Road Department and Detention Center are open and operational.

For the City of Jonesboro, City Hall and all nonessential services are closed. This includes Sanitation Services, with pickups scheduled to resume Monday. Crews will complete Thursday pick-up and move to Friday pick-up.

Essential services such as the Jonesboro Police Department, Jonesboro Economic Transportation System (JETS) buses, and Road Department are open, as are the warming centers.

JETS buses and trollies will be operating under limited hours. These hours are subject to change due to weather and road conditions.

JETS will run today from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Red, Blue and Green routes will operate with limited service.

“Stop times are not guaranteed, and some stops may be avoided due to road conditions. This could result in slower service times,” a news release from the City of Jonesboro said. “Our top priority is providing safe trips.”
