Cecil Nelson “Butch” Humbard, 77, of Pocahontas passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at his home.
He was born May 16, 1946 in Webb City, MO to the late Charles Nelson and Mary Kathryn Schembra Humbard. Butch worked for Couples Manufacturing in St. Louis for 24 years and was a United States Navy Veteran. He enjoyed fishing, wrestling, was a fan of John Wayne westerns, was a great storyteller, but his greatest joy was taking Kimberly out on dates.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents Charles Nelson and Mary Kathryn Humbard; daughter, Kimberly Lynn Dunn; and sister, Edith Mae James.
Buth is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Kay Goodson Humbard; daughter, Jessica Kay (Kurt Webb) Travirca of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Kaelyn Coleen Dunn, Kylie Kay Edmond, Maddox Prince Edmond, and Tucker Thomas Webb; one great granddaughter; sister, Lucille Marie Peak of Hazelwood, MO; special friend, Jeremy Walton; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, May 17, 2024 from 4-6 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 6 PM with Marshall Pratt officiating. Military Honors will be presented by the Promberger-Traw VFW Post 4556 Honor Guard.
Cremation will take place following all services.
