Jonesboro, AR – (Contributed) – Craighead Electric Cooperative Corporation (CECC) and Empower Broadband have announced Justin Etter of Jonesboro as the chief executive officer of both organizations, marking an exciting new chapter of leadership and continued commitment to the members and communities they serve.
Etter joined CECC in July 2011 and has held multiple leadership positions during his tenure, including vice president of member services and, most recently, executive vice president and chief operating officer. Justin, his wife Amanda, and their three children reside in Jonesboro.
“Justin has long been a tremendous asset to both our members and our employees,” said Board President Terry Rorex. “For 14 years, he has lived out our mission of being member-driven and service-focused. The board is confident in his leadership, and we look forward to the bright future ahead under his guidance.”
Tim Fitzgerald, chairman of the Empower Broadband Board, also expressed his support. “Justin’s leadership has been instrumental in the growth and success of Empower,” Fitzgerald said. “His vision, dedication, and steady approach continue to strengthen our service to rural communities. We are proud to see him take on this expanded leadership role.”
Etter shared his gratitude for the opportunity to serve. “It is a true honor to continue serving the members of CECC and Empower as CEO,” he said. “The future of our cooperative family is incredibly bright, and I am deeply thankful to the Board for their trust and support.”
Craighead Electric Cooperative serves approximately 31,000 meters in eight counties in Northeast Arkansas. Incorporated in 1937, the cooperative operates offices in Jonesboro, Walnut Ridge, and Paragould. The locally owned and managed organization has 104 employees. The cooperative’s wholly owned subsidiary, empower, serves nearly 16,500 internet subscribers.
