Craighead County, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — March 31, 2025 — The burn ban for Craighead County has been lifted after the area received rainfall over the weekend.
In a Facebook post on Monday, Craighead County said conditions have improved, reducing the risk of wildfires, thus allowing the county to lift the ban. The ban first went into effect on March 11.
If needing to burn, citizens are still encouraged to never leave fires unattended, keep water or other fire-extinguishing tools nearby, and avoid burning on windy days.
“While it’s now safe to resume outdoor burning, we encourage everyone to remain cautious. Please follow all state and local regulations, and practice responsible burning,” the county said.
