Brookland, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Feb. 22, 2025 – Police arrested a Brookland man after they said he broke into multiple vehicles, stealing several items inside them.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on the morning of Feb. 18, Brookland police officers got word of multiple vehicle break-ins overnight in which several items had been stolen, including three firearms, ammunition, electronics, and a necklace. Police said at least four vehicles were broken into.
The same day, Officer Brittaney Lane reported she contacted 27-year-old Kristopher Allan Bullard who was said to be in the area when the thefts occurred.
The affidavit stated Bullard was previously charged in August 2024 with two counts of breaking or entering – articles from vehicles out of the Brookland Police Department.
During the encounter, Lane noted that Bullard’s demeanor was off compared to her previous encounters with him. He even refused to be taken back to his home by her when he would usually accept her offers for a ride, the affidavit said.
Later that day, Lane and Officer Josh Whitley searched Bullard’s home, where they found the items that were reported stolen during the overnight break-ins. Bullard was arrested shortly after.
On Friday, Feb. 21, Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause to charge Bullard with four counts of breaking or entering – articles from vehicle, three counts of theft of a firearm valued at less than $2,500, one count of possession of a firearm by certain persons, and one count of theft of $5,000 or less but greater than $1,000 from a vehicle.
Bullard is being held in the Craighead County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash-only bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 20.
