Betty Ann Stacy Steimel, 77, of Pocahontas went to her eternal home on February 9, 2024, at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Betty was born to the late Kent and Verma Guntharp Stacy on January 19, 1947, in Pocahontas. Betty Ann was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was loved by many. She sold real estate for many years, before dedicating 40 years of service to the post office. She was an active member of the St John’s Catholic Church. She will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kent and Verma Guntharp Stacy; grandparents, Almon and Dicy Guntharp and Sular Stacy, and Ivan and Gladys Guntharp; and brother, Bill Stacy.
Betty is survived by her husband Danny Steimel; daughters, Stacye (Toney) Barnes of Pocahontas, Stephanie (Eric) Hinsley of Vilonia, and Holly Steimel of Jackson, MS; and sons, Brandon Blackwell of Pocahontas and Brandon Steimel of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Alex (BJ) Crocker, Sydney (Garret) Guthrie, Ethan (Hailey) Sheets, Marlee Hinsley, Jamison Hinsley, Dakota, Abbey, and Paisley, and Lakelyn Blackwell, Nathan (Destiny) Smith, and Jacob (Shannon) Smith; great-grandchildren, Kayce Sheets, Joelle Sheets, and Grady Guthrie.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 12, 2024, 5-7 P.M. followed by Rosary at 7 P.M. in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at St. John Catholic Church with a burial following in St. John Catholic Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Ethan Sheets, Jamison Hinsley, BJ Crocker, Garret Guthrie, Nathan Smith, and Jacob Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Stacy, Jim Stacy, Randy Guntharp, and Brandon Steimel. Craig Steimel and Joe Steimel will serve as ushers.
