Jonesboro, AR — (Contributed) — April 16, 2025 — The Beck Center for Veterans at Arkansas State University will host its third annual Run to Remember starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, at the Lt. Col. Frederick C. Turner Jr. Military Science Building, located at 1915 Aggie Road.
“This community-centered event is held in honor of our nation’s fallen heroes and in support of our living veterans, active-duty service members, and their families,” said Johnathon Mullins, leader of the Student Veterans Association at A-State.
The Run2Remember 5K is held annually to benefit those whom the center serves.
“All proceeds benefit the Beck Center for Veterans, which provides critical services including career counseling, educational support, disability benefits assistance, food security programs, and service dog training through the Battle Buddies program,” Mullins said.
Everyone is welcome at the race, including walkers, runners and spirit participants of all ages and experience levels. The racecourse takes participants through flat, low-traffic areas of campus.
“All registered participants will receive a race-day T-shirt and custom finisher medal. Awards will be given to top male and female finishers overall, as well as the top three in each age group,” added Mullins.
“Whether you join us on the course or support from the sidelines, your participation makes a difference. Come run, walk, or remember—together,” Mullins said.
