Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – July 19, 2024 – Jonesboro Police recently responded to the Harps Food Store on Harrisburg Road regarding an assault on an employee.

A 22-year-old female worker told police she was approached in the store by a juvenile male, likely in his early teens. He said he had questions about a box that was in the restroom floor. She went with him to investigate, and as she was looking in, the juvenile shoved her into the restroom. She shoved him back and moved away from the restroom in an attempt to protect herself.

As the juvenile began walking toward the store exit, the employee found her manager to explain what had just happened. The manager made contact with the juvenile and asked him to leave the store.

According to the police report, store security camera footage showed the juvenile push the employee, exit the store and run to a silver SUV parked at the gas pumps outside. The cameras were not able to pick up the license plate.

A Jonesboro Redditor that goes by Secret-Feedback6313 shared a photo of the juvenile in a post, and indicated that the employee who was attacked was their sister. The post seemed meant as a warning to others, but also turned into a complaint regarding how store management  and JPD handled the issue.
