Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Jan. 21, 2025 – To help celebrate the 15th year of the Million Meals initiative, Arvest Bank is partnering with the Harlem Globetrotters when the team visits Jonesboro on Friday to raise awareness about food insecurity in the community.

Arvest associates and members of the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas will be in attendance to share information on how the Jonesboro community can help fight hunger.

Part of the Harlem Globetrotters 2025 World Tour, the show will be held on Friday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. at First National Bank Arena located at 217 Olympic Drive.

This year marks the 15th year of Arvest Bank’s Million Meals initiative, which helps raise awareness about food insecurity while also raising money to be donated directly to the bank’s more than 80 food partners, including the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas.

According to the latest USDA data, Arkansas has the highest prevalence of food insecurity in the nation at 18.9 – 5.6% higher than the national average. Feeding America states that one in four children in Arkansas are facing hunger.
