Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Dec. 20, 2024 – Get ready to enjoy a “HOWLIDAY” pop-up Christmas store this weekend as ARC Angels 4 Animals hosts Deck the PAWS on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 2020 Wilkins.

The event will feature hundreds of pet-themed gift items for sale, including jackets, sweaters, toys, jewelry, treats, beds, blankets, car seats, leashes, collars and novelty items perfect for pets and animal lovers.

According to ARC Angels 4 Animals Director Angie Heringer, the Jonesboro-based non-profit is a foster-based animal rescue group that began 10 years ago. All proceeds from the event will support efforts to rescue and adopt dogs and cats throughout the year while providing critical veterinary care, spaying and neutering, pet food and supplies.

“We rescue, rehab, re-love and re-home,” she said, noting their four key words – spay, neuter, adopt and rescue. ARC stands for the Animal Rescue Connection because we try to connect with other shelters and rescues and rescuers. We’re a one-stop-shop where if you’re needing help, even if I can’t help you, we try to find you help and/or connect you with whoever else is in your area because we all know there’s so many animals that are in need that are not getting help.”

Heringer also noted that they provide education to help people understand what a rescue is and what they do, adding that they do adoption events once a month. However, this is their end-of-the-year, which is meant to be the group’s biggest event of the year.

“We do some kind of big fundraiser at least once a year and this is really big because actually over the last couple of years, we’ve collected quite a few items that have been donated to us and we’re hoarders as well,” she laughed. “Come… find a good deal. We’ve got a good crew of volunteers and fosters, and I think we’ll see a nice big crowd out here tomorrow because we’ve got sweaters, jackets, car seats, collars, leashes, blankets, beds, jewelry… We’ve got a little bit of everything.”

The event will feature door prizes. People who have fostered or adopted from the organization will receive a ticket to either get a free item or get $10 off anything.
