Alma, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 1, 2024 – Alma police said Tuesday there was physical evidence strongly indicating that 6-year-old Morgan Nick was abducted by Billy Jack Lincks.

According to Alma Police Chief Jeff Pointer, hair samples collected from Lincks’s truck in 2020 were sent to Othram Laboratory for testing in 2023.  On Sept. 27, the laboratory told Alma police the hair matched that of Colleen Nick (Morgan Nick’s mother) or one of her children.

Follow-up interviews with Morgan Nick’s family said none of them knew Lincks or had been in a truck similar to his.

“The bottom line in this is that the physical evidence collected from the truck that Lincks owned when Morgan was abducted strongly indicates that Morgan had been in this truck,” Pointer said.

Lincks, a 74-year-old man from Crawford County, died in prison in 2000. He was arrested for sexual solicitation of a child 12 weeks after Morgan Nick’s disappearance.

Pointer added that the investigation is ongoing and that Alma police will be conducting interviews with known associates of Lincks, as well as searching for more evidence.

“What I have to say about Billy Jack Lincks is that he stole Morgan from me, he stole her from her dad, and he stole her from Logan and Taryn,” said Colleen Nick. “But he didn’t see that he could never win because our love for Morgan, her memory and her voice outlasted his life. Morgan’s heart shines on.”

Morgan Nick was last seen June 9, 1995, at a Little League Baseball game at the Alma Baseball Complex.
