Abel Juarez, a man characterized by his loving nature, adept handiness, and deep faith, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2024, at the age of 63 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born on March 22, 1961, in Santa Rosa, Texas. Abel grew up in a close-knit family and carried the values of kinship and devotion throughout his life.

Abel was predeceased by his cherished wife, Michelle Ann Juarez, whose memory he honored every day. His legacy continues through his beloved sons, Abel Selvester Juarez, Jr. and Roger James Juarez, who were his pride and joy. Abel’s life was further enriched by the bond he shared with his brothers, Jesse Juarez and Salvador Jr Cruz, and his sisters, Francesca, Meredith, Ramanda Cruz, and Melissa Cruz.

A proud patriarch, Abel’s heart swelled with love for his grandchildren, Jazmyn, Roger, Jr., Jonathan, Andrew, Laney, Richie, Damien, Devin, and Vada Juarez. His joy was multiplied with the arrival of his great-grandchildren, Rosalie Noel, Robert Noel III, and Giovanni Juarez, who brought him immeasurable happiness.

Throughout his life, Abel was known for his skilled hands as a painter and scaffolder. Abel took pride in his craft, and his dedication was evident in every stroke and structure he contributed to.

Abel’s faith played a central role in his life, and he was a faithful member of the Baptist church. His commitment to his faith was apparent in his daily actions and in the unwavering support he offered to his church community. Abel’s life was a testament to the power of love and dedication. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, we celebrate the immeasurable impact he had on his family, friends, and community. He will be deeply missed, yet forever cherished in the memories of those who loved him.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home.
