Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Jan. 22, 2025 – Arkansas State Athletics has announced promotions for two upcoming women’s basketball home games, which includes a celebration for the 50th anniversary of women’s sports at the school.

The Red Wolves return to First National Bank Arena on Jan. 30 to host Troy at 7 p.m. The contest tips off the Sun Belt Food Fight, a competition between all Sun Belt Conference institutions to generate the most food donations by the end of February.

Fans bringing a donation for the A-State Food Pantry on Jan. 30 will receive free admission to A-State’s matchup against the Trojans. Donations can be made at the upper and lower red entrances as well as the yellow entrance at First National Bank Arena.

The Scarlet and Black remain at home on Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. for the program’s Play4Kay game against South Alabama. In addition to raising breast cancer awareness, the matchup against the Jaguars will celebrate 50 years of women’s sports with an Alumni Day for the women’s basketball program.

All former players, coaches, and anyone formerly associated with the women’s basketball program will have the opportunity to receive complimentary tickets. To put in a ticket request, fill out a form here by Jan. 29.

The women’s basketball All-50 Year Team will be recognized and all women’s basketball alumni in attendance will receive a commemorative t-shirt presented by St. Bernard’s Healthcare. T-shirts will also be provided to the first 500 fans to enter First National Bank Arena on game day.

Artwork for the commemorative shirt will be released on A-State’s social media channels in the days leading up to the game.
