It’s a pleasure to have the opportunity to share the wonderful family history of Herren Tire Service.

We started in 1968 by my grandfather Auslee Herren. He was less of a businessman and more just a hard worker, but he fixed tires while he learned.

It’s crazy to see what we are today after being just a 1 bay garage with a concrete slab located at 500 east Kingshighway.

I can’t help but laugh thinking of the good old days. Flats were $1, balancing tires was $1.50, and used tires normally sold for around $5, it’s with that business model they started becoming the premier tire shop in Northeast Arkansas.

As more people began to trust Herren Tire, and a young Ivey Herren joined the tire team quickly, Grandpa and Dad realized it was time to grow.

In 1983, Auslee and Ivey Herren Sr moved to 700 East Kingshighway into a 3 bay shop and a small waiting area.

Sadly enough, the same year of the move, Auslee passed away. Ivey Herren Sr., at the age of 23, took over the business and was committed to proving himself and being successful.

As the business grew, Herren was known for reliable customer service, fair pricing, and efforts to continue meet the demands of our growing community.

Ivey Sr. begin redesigning the shop and turning the growing business into a 10-bay garage with a lobby big enough to house our growing customer base.

In 2005, here we grow again adding a big truck shop to service semi-trucks and tractors, one of my favorite memories of Herren was ability to service our trucking and agriculture industries.

In 2020 Ivey Sr. passed away when he lost his battle to cancer, and thank God my mother Cindy Herren stepped up and kept Herren going along with our committed and valuable employees.

My father always taught me one simple rule – treat others the way you want to be treated, and the Lord will reward you. Be honest in all of your work and take care of people, and they will always take care of you. And no matter what obstacle you’re facing, always rise above and keep moving forward.

I had my personal struggles with addiction, but I came out of the dark and was afforded the opportunity to prove that I was finally free.

Mom and I partnered to secure a second facility on Airport Rd in Paragould that we named Herren West. It has been a huge success.

As I watch our community continue to grow I am committed to us growing local. We are excited to grow our business, and are looking forward to meeting new people to serve all across Northeast Arkansas.

The story is not over we will keep growing local and driving better.

I am Ivey Herren Jr., and I am thankful for the opportunity to be a 3rd generation tire shop owner.

Always remember… if your tires are wearing call Herren.
