Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Aug 16, 2024 – Jonesboro Police conducted a traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon for expired tags.

A K9 sniff was conducted with a positive alert on the passenger side door of the vehicle. One of the two occupants then admitted to having marijuana in his pocket.

While removing the marijuana from his pocket, a blue pill identified as alprazolam fell out of his pocket along with over $800 cash.

Officers then began searching the vehicle and found cocaine, more blue pills, more marijuana, and $1,122 in cash inside of a pink purse.

When officers asked the female occupant if she had any more contraband on her person, she said no. Due to an outstanding warrant, she was transported to the Craighead County Detention Center. Once jail staff performed their search, they located a scale, more pills, and more cocaine hidden under her clothing.

The female occupant was given a $75,000 c/s bond during her PC hearing on Friday.
