Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – August 12, 2024 – A warrant has been issued for a Jonesboro driver that posted a dangerous and illegal joy ride on Facebook Live.
Recently, a Jonesboro man got behind the wheel of a silver Ford Mustang in the Race Street Market parking lot. He went “live” and then handed the phone to a passenger who filmed the adventure.
The video shows the two burning tires out in the Race Street Market parking lot. Then, the driver took off at a high rate of speed down Richardson Ave. He was fish-tailing and frequently crossing over into the other lane, racing up and down area streets. There were several more burnouts in the Market parking lot. The driver then did a donut in the middle of Richardson, barely missing a utility pole and an oncoming vehicle.
He ran red lights and stop signs for the next few minutes and did several more donuts in different places. And this all happened in the middle of a weekday afternoon. Skycop footage confirmed what was seen in the Facebook video.
A warrant has been issued for the driver, and there will be a number of charges… reckless driving, driving left of center, speeding… and others, including no seat belt use.
