Jessie Mae Martin, 93, of Lepanto, Arkansas departed this life on Thursday, August 8, 2024, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on December 1, 1930, to Jesse E. and Walter Mae Finchum Martin. Jessie was a Registered Nurse for thirty-six years and retired at the age of 76. She also was the Secretary at the school before she became a nurse, and the kids loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Jesse E. and Walter Mae Martin, one son: Wayne Rice and one sister: Wanda Martin.
Jessie is survived by her daughter: Linda D. Baig of Lepanto, Arkansas, two grandsons: James “Eric” Price (Angela) of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Phillip Wayne Price (Jonna) of Lepanto, Arkansas, two great granddaughters: Felicity Ann Heigle of Brookland, Arkansas and Savannah Claire Price of Jonesboro, Arkansas, one great grandson: Micheal Andrew “Drew” Price of Jonesboro, Arkansas and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held Monday, August 12, 2024, at 2:00p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
Visitation will be held Monday from 12:00p.m. until service time.
Interment will follow at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas.
Brother Mike South will officiate the service.
