Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – July 22, 2024 – According to a Jonesboro Police Department report, a 57-year-old woman was stabbed on Saturday around 10:30pm at the Willow Creek apartments.

The report states that the victim sustained stab wounds to the front and back of her shoulder from a 14-year-old female wielding a “green 12-inch kitchen knife.”

At 10:31pm, the 57-year-old victim called dispatch. Call notes state that two voices could be heard screaming things like “You’re going to jail” and “Do you want to die?”

Additionally, the dispatcher added a note stating “caller is being stabbed” at 10:32pm.

Details are unclear if the suspect is known to the victim or not, but the report does state that the suspect was ultimately charged with Domestic Battery in the 1st degree, suggesting a familial relationship between the two.

After the stabbing incident, the juvenile seemingly left the scene and police set up a perimeter in an attempt to locate her. A citizen called dispatch at 10:58pm and advised of a suspicious person walking behind her porch in a neighborhood nearby. The description that the caller gave matched the known description of the stabbing suspect given by the victim.

At 11:06pm, an officer advised dispatch that the female suspect was walking towards him with her hands up. She was taken into custody without incident, and police located the knife.
