Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – July 22, 2024 – Jonesboro Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Sunday afternoon near the intersection of Burke and Culberhouse.
Both occupants of the vehicle were reportedly not wearing a seatbelt and were found to be on probation.
During a search, meth was located both on their persons and near the area where they were standing. While being questioned, Phillip Beebe told the officer that he does use methamphetamine, but “didn’t know” about the substance that the officer found.
The other occupant, Joyce Sullins told the officer that the substance that was located in her shorts as well as near where she was standing didn’t belong to her, and if she was trying to conceal it, she wouldn’t have thrown it down right there.
Both Sullins and Beebe were placed under arrest and transported to CCDC. They were both given a $15,000 c/s bond by Judge Fowler.
