Georgia Crabtree Sallee, 97 of Paragould and formerly of Pocahontas and Rector, Arkansas passed from this life to forever be with Jesus on Tuesday February 6, 2024 at the Greenhouse Cottages of Belle Meade. Georgia was born on November 16, 1926 in Imboden, Arkansas to the late Marshall Dexter and Margaret Mae Warden Crabtree. She was a graduate of Pocahontas High School and worked for many years as a bookkeeper for numerous businesses. Georgia was very active in public service, serving on multiple committees and boards. She was chairman of the board for Randolph County Hospital during the building of the new facility and served as a member of the district board for Girl Scouts of America. She was a much-loved member of the Pocahontas First United Methodist Church where she served in numerous capacities. She sang in the choir and was an MYF leader. After moving to Rector in 2006 Georgia became a faithful active member of Rector First United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she loved gardening, bird watching, playing golf and traveling with her friends. She will be missed by all those who loved and knew her.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents: Marshall Dexter and Margaret Crabtree, stepmother: Jennie Sue Crabtree; her husband of 38 years L. Jerry Sallee, her siblings: Marshall Dexter Crabtree Jr., Lucille Harkey, Lorene Lawyer, Halleen Crabtree, Dolores McCauley, Thomas Crabtree.

She is survived by her daughters: Karla Sallee Richardson and husband Houston of Bartlett, Tennessee, Lark Sallee Sigsby and husband Steven of Rector, AR; grandchildren: Elizabeth Richardson Fitzgerald (Dax) of Germantown, Tennessee, Sarah Sallee Richardson Thibodeaux of Memphis, Tennessee, Marshall Tucker Sigsby of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Natalie Jade Sigsby Rogers (Joseph) of Little Rock, Arkansas; great-grandchildren: Erin Marie Baker, Madog W.F. Thibodeaux, Clara Jade Rogers; step-brother: Bill Crabtree of Jonesboro,AR, brother: W.C. “Bud” Crabtree (Roline) of Reynoldsburg,Ohio; sisters: Paula Crabtree Bookout (Simon) of South Dennis, MA, Martha Nell Crabtree Kicklighter (Bill) of Glennville,Georgia; along with a host of nieces, nephews; other special relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday February 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rector First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jonathon Bevil officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Masonic Cemetery in Pocahontas. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
