Ashley Lynn Rawls Smith of Trumann died Friday, in Lepanto at the age of 39 years, 4 months and 29 days.  She was born in Fort Smith, Ark., and lived most for the past 13 years in  Trumann moving here from Paris, Ark.  She was a member of the First Assembly of God church in Paris and  was employed by the JMS steel mill, loved to fish, jam to her music and spend time with her godchildren Penelope, Calvon, Landon and spending time talking with her best friend Tammy Cooper.

Ashley was preceded in death by her daughter, Sophia Ferguson; son, Sawyer Ferguson; and her grandparents, Virginia Brown and George Smith. Ashley  is survived by mother, Tina Lanman of the home; father and bonus mom, Alan and Dorenen Smith of Trumann; one  brother, Michael Smith of Clarksdale, Ark., grandmother, Marilyn Smith of Keller, TX.; and grandfather, Jim Burnett of Paris, Ark.; four aunts, Theresa Rains, Lisa Mott, Mary Ann Hanfelt, and Gena Terrell; two uncles, Tom Smith and Fred Ornsbey; several nieces and nephews and many extended other family members.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Old Landmark Worship Center in Trumann. Celebration of life service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Ricky Lee officiating.  Burial will be private. An online registry book can be signed at thompsonfuneralhome.net
