Bonnie Jean Rickman, 77, of Pocahontas went to her heavenly home on June 28, 2024, at St. Bernard Five Rivers Medical Center.
Bonnie was born September 6, 1946, in Pocahontas to the late Thomas Eugene Harper and Nancy Lucille Kearly Harper. She worked for several years at Brown Shoe and then became a cook at Randolph County Nursing Home. She was a dedicated Christian who enjoyed her bible studies daily. She was a crafty woman that loved to knit and crochet. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Lucille Harper; husbands, Johnny Truman Pierce and James Larry Rickman, Sr. and brother, Clifford Harper.
She is survived by her children, Anthony (Leatha) Pierce of OK., Cynthia Lynn Winebaugh of Kaysville, UT., Tracy (LeAnne) Pierce of Caddo Mills, TX., and Tamara (Caleb) Rickman of Pocahontas, stepchildren Kim McMaster, Jimmy Rickman and Anna Jones; grandchildren, Miranda Brook Pierce, Brandi Davis, Samantha (Tyler) Brown, Jessica Jean (Billy) Poe, Sethe (Christa) Winebaugh, Ashley Pierce, John (Ashley) Pierce, Karri (Tom) Bruring, Tim (Tracey) Worthington, Farah Rickman and Lenon Rickman; numerous great children and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Mae Ann (Olan) Sammons, Gary Harper and Carolyn Sue Harper.
Visitation will be held Friday July 5, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday July 6, 2024, in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel with Gerald Fears officiating. Burial will follow in the Yadkin Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Lenon Rickman, Tim Pierce, Tyler Brown, Sethe Winebaugh, John Pierce and Billy Poe.
The honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Bowers and Sydney Thielemier.
