Ruth A. Jones, 85, of Trumann, Arkansas departed this life on Monday, February 26, 2024, in Trumann. She was born on August 5, 1938, to Avery and Vera Turnbow Branch. Ruth was a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church in Trumann, Arkansas. She loved the Lord, and she enjoyed sewing, quilting, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved cooking, baking cakes, pies and candy during Christmas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother: James Avery Branch and one sister: Martha Williams.
Ruth is survived by her husband: Bob Jones of Trumann, three children: Nancy Walters and Bryan of Trumann, Bobby Jones and Rhonda of Trumann and Steven Jones and Angie of Trumann, eight grandchildren: Jennifer Walters of Jonesboro, Dr. Andrew Walters and Danielle of Jonesboro, Preston Jones and Bailey of Harrisburg, Cameron Jones and Haidyn of Trumann, Jordan Long and Kalli of Valley View, Ashton Carr and Josh of Brookland, Clay Jones and Lacey of Jonesboro and Dr. Jacob Jones and Faith of Bono, fifteen great grandchildren and one on the way, five sisters: Janie Parham of Marked Tree, Betty Beck of Marked Tree, Alice Cavitt of Tyronza, Margie Malone of Marked Tree and Reda Ellis of Whitton, four brothers: John Wayne Branch of Cordova, Tennessee, Michael Branch of Jonesboro, Billy Lewis Branch of Earle and Terry Joe Branch of Tyronza and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Marked Tree.
Funeral service will be held Friday, March 1, 2024, at 10:00a.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Marked Tree.
Interment will follow at Marked Tree Cemetery.
