Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – June 28, 2024 – The Arkansas Graveler ended today in Jonesboro after 240 cyclists have spent the last 6 days trekking across Arkansas.
Their journey began earlier in the week in Fayetteville. The pre-planned route accounted for overnight stops in Ozark, Jasper, Marshall, Mountain View, Cave City, and ended today in Jonesboro with a finish line celebration.
The 366 mile journey included camaraderie and community with the cyclists often setting up “camp” together each evening.
Each participant is staying in Jonesboro tonight, with approximately 50 staying at the Embassy Suites Red Wolf Convention Center, approximately 120 staying in dorms, and approximately 50 primitive camping next to the AState Pavilion.
Cyclists will be provided breakfast on Saturday morning before boarding complimentary charter bus transportation back to Fayetteville.
According to their website, The Arkansas Graveler is owned by The Ozark Foundation, a charitable organization focused on creating fun and enriching outdoor experiences in Northwest Arkansas that elevate the region as a better place to work, live and play. The event is co-hosted by the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism, the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission, and the Arkansas Department of Commerce.
