James Wade Clark, 52, of Paragould, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at his home.
James was born July 28, 1971 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Larry and Judy Overshine Clark. He grew up in Evening Star and graduated from Delaplaine High School in 1989. He had a very rewarding career spanning over 30 years with Nidec, formerly Emerson Electric, and most recently at Colston Castors. James was a servant of the Lord and was a faithful member of Vines Chapel Baptist Church in Paragould. His faith was evident through his devotion to his church where he served as a Sunday school teacher and music leader.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wade and Imogene Clark; maternal grandparents, Edgar and Kathleen Overshine; and father-in-law, Carl Cole.
James is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Sara Lynn Clark; children, Colby Price and Lauryn Escue and her husband Derek; parents, Larry and Judy Clark; his beloved granddaughters, Nola Rhae Escue and Violet Harper Escue, who affectionately referred to him as “Pa”; sisters, Tammy Luke and her husband Shannon and Cindy White and her husband Chris; niece and nephew, Colin and Carley Luke; sister-in-law, Amy Cole and her husband Jeremy Morphis, and nieces, Rowan Shivers and Riley Morphis; and a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Heath Vines officiating. Burial will follow in Morrow Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Chris White, Shannon Luke, Darrell Denton, Dewayne Gillean, Colby Price, Kendall Overshine, Kavin Snyder and George Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Nidec (Emerson Electric) die shop employees and Alfred Biggs.
The family requests memorials be made in James’ honor to the St. Bernards Cancer Center or to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.
