Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – June 22, 2024 – No matter how hot it gets this weekend, the family that operates Razorback Produce will be braving the temperatures, offering fresh produce, usually at a couple of locations.

Tracy Stroud makes an early drive from Pocahontas to Jonesboro seven days a week and sets up a tent with his grandson Elijah. They stay until almost dusk each day, lots of times in the parking lot in front of Ross Dress for Less at the corner of Highland Drive and Caraway Road. Stroud’s daughter Erica is available to help sometimes. She sets up a little further down Highland.

Stroud is proud of his three-generation family business. And, they’ve been at it for almost 20 years, rain or shine. They have to work through all kinds of weather.

“It gets too hot almost every day,” Stroud admits. “If a storm is coming, we just watch the weather. We’re out here in the rain a lot of times.”

There’s a good selection: watermelons, peaches, tomatoes, squash and lots more.

“I know all the farmers, and I know where to get the good stuff.”
