Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – June 19, 2024 – Officers were dispatched to Walgreens at Main and Highland regarding shoplifting.
They were advised that two women come to the store almost every Tuesday along with their children. While in the store yesterday, 23 year old Ayaoine Pickett and her accomplice filled up two carts and left the store without paying.
Workers on scene explained that the store gets a shipment every Tuesday and it takes almost every worker to help unload it. This leaves the store vulnerable.
Because of this, Pickett and her accomplice seem to come to the store every week, only on Tuesday, and shoplift.
Pickett even brings her children with her, and video shows them assisting in taking items and placing them into the carts.
The security cameras in the store show very clear views of Pickett, making her very easy to identify. Officers made contact with her at her home, she was placed under arrest and transported to CCDC.
The reports states that Pickett and her accomplice stole over $1100 worth of items from Walgreens yesterday.
She went before Judge Fowler on Wednesday for a probable cause hearing. Judge Fowler explained that she has a history of theft and was involved in a commercial burglary just three months ago.
She was given a $35,000 cash only bond.
