Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – June 17, 2024 – Officers were called to Timberlake Cove on Saturday evening in relation to complaints about a man pointing a gun at people.
When they arrived, witnesses described the suspect as a male walking around with a ski mask, a red, yellow, and black hoodie, and a gun.
Officers made contact with a man matching this description who was walking across the Caraway Rd overpass. When asked if he had a weapon on him, he said “No.”
When searched, officers felt a handgun in his waistband.
The subject was detained and refused to give officers his name.
Turns out, the handgun that he was in possession of had been stolen from a Sheriff’s Office in Illinois.
The suspect was taken to CCSO and went before Judge Boling today. The Prosecuting Attorney described the narrative in the probable cause documents as “concerning.”
He was given a $25,000 c/s bond and a court date of July 26.
