Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – June 14, 2024 – The JPD Street Crimes Unit went to a home on Miller St to conduct a probation search on Thursday night. The listed resident, 23-year-old Ladarius Allen, is on SIS probation with an active search waiver on file.

During their search, they found several items including THC gummies, baggies, and a gun.

When questioned about these items and told he was being taken into custody, Allen began stomping on his cell phone in an attempt to destroy it.

The probable cause affidavit states that Allen then began kicking an SCU Investigator in the legs. The officer shoved Allen away from him, and he turned and head butted another officer, a Sergeant, in the head and began kicking him. The suspect was forced to the ground and continued kicking both officers.

The Sergeant sustained minor injuries and bleeding at his arm, and the SCU Investigator sustained blunt force trauma to the leg that caused swelling and pain.

Allen was transported to CCDC and charged with multiple offenses including Possession of a firearm by certain persons, Battery 2 Injures an officer or State employee, Tampering with physical evidence, all felonies, and Resisting arrest, Possession of Sch VI, and Possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.

Allen went before Judge Boling today and was given a $100,000 c/s bond.

This was not Allen’s first felony. He had been previously convicted in December 2023 where he was given 2 years SIS probation.
