Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – June 14, 2024 – According to a Craighead County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy was dispatched to the area of CR 604 for shots heard this morning around 2am. This area is also known as the corner of Earl Watkins and Tater Sack Rd, just down from NicePak in Jonesboro.
The report states that the complainant and homeowner told the deputy that the incident was caught on his security camera. The footage does not show anything, but the report states that you can hear a female scream, a man begins yelling, then you can hear multiple rapid gunshots.
The report states that “the gun shots sounded extremely close to the residence.”
Deputies searches the area for “blood, guns, shell casings, or a body” but did not find anything.
When interviewing surrounding neighbors, one said that they did hear gunshots, and one said that their neighbors are “drunk and crazy.”
The deputy contacted local hospitals to see if they had any gunshot victims. They advised that they did not.
