William Stanley “Stan” Simpson, 75, of Paragould passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024.

He was born February 17, 1949 in Jonesboro to the late George Reese and Pauline Dent Simpson.  Stan began a career selling office machines for his family’s business, Simpson Office Machine while still a teenager.  Later he would manage the outlet store at Magee Picture Frames in Pocahontas, would earn his CNA license, and worked for Lawrence Hall Nursing Center and St. Bernard’s Behavioral Health.  Stan was loved by everyone and known for his happy disposition.  He was deeply committed to his faith.  Stan began leading singing in church at the age of 17 and faithful served in a number of congregations.  He was presently a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Annieville.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents, George Reese and Pauline Dent Simpson; his son, William Andrew “Andy” Simpson; and by his brothers, Perry and Donald Simpson.

Stan is survived by his wife of 45 years and companion of 56 years, Cecilia Ball Simpson; his son, Patrick Timothy Simpson of Clubb, MO; grandson, Patrick Mackenzie Simpson of Paragould; aunt, Florine Dixon of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

No services are scheduled at this time.  Cremation has been chosen as the method of final disposition under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
