Mr. Roger Dean Douglas of Harrisburg, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, May 30, 2014, at his home, at the age of 65.
He was born March 16, 1959, in West Memphis, Arkansas, the son of the late Fred Douglas and Imogene Volner Douglas.
Roger was a 1976 graduate of Harrisburg High School. Following high school, he had many occupations. He was a man of many talents. He was the Shop Foreman for Peterbuilt during most of his working years. He was a diesel mechanic and truck driver and also a former manager of Barton’s in Jonesboro for several years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and duck hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, April Bennett, and two brothers, David Douglas and Michael Douglas.
He is survived by two daughters, Angela Gibson of Jonesboro, and Amy Dolinger of Harrisburg, and 8 grandchildren, Abby Meister, Allison Holland, Noah Gibson, Izabell Landis, Mason Gibson, Cooper Gibson, Emmalee Medlin, and Jaxson Crouch.
Roger will be cremated and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
