Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – May 29, 2024 – According to the Arkansas Department of Transporation, the bridge across Higginbottom Creek will be replaced this week.
During the replacement, Stadium Blvd will be closed to thru traffic from 7am Sunday, June 2, through Sunday, June 9. The detour area will span from the Stadium/Harrisburg intersection to the Bypass.
Drivers are encouraged to use either Caraway Road or Harrisburg Road as a detour. Local traffic will still be allowed on Stadium to get to businesses and homes, but will not be allowed to pass north or south across the bridge construction area.
A truck detour route has been established by ARDOT along Harrisburg Rd.
Traffic will be controlled with the use of barrels, message boards, and signage.
Drivers are urged to use caution while traveling in the area.
