Hot Springs, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – May 28, 2024 – Jonesboro Police Department’s Chris Lane was honored at the 2024 Arkansas Narcotics Officers Association Conference held in Hot Springs last week.

Lane, a member of the Jonesboro Police Department and the 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force, was recognized as the 2024 Paudert-Evans ANOA Officer of the Year.

The award is given in memory of West Memphis Police Officers Brandon Paudert and Bill Evans who were killed after a shootout on Interstate 40 in 2010.

The Paudert-Evans ANOA Officer of the Year award is given to one officer in the state for their outstanding contribution to law enforcement and drug trafficking work. Presented annually at the Arkansas Narcotic Officers Association conference banquet, the award signifies Lane’s unparalleled commitment to combating drug trafficking in the state.

The ANOA conference, held from May 21-24 at The Hotel Hot Springs, provided a place for law enforcement professionals to come together in pursuit of a common goal: to stem the tide of illicit drugs plaguing communities. With its mission deeply rooted in unity and collaboration, the association aims to equip officers with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively tackle drug-related issues.
