Jonesboro, AR (JonesboroRightNow.com) – October 3, 2023 – The Foundation of Arts for Northeast Arkansas is excited to announce the 76th Annual Jonesboro Christmas Parade will take place at 7p.m. on Friday, December 1st, 2023 in Downtown Jonesboro. This year’s theme is “A Merry Melody.”
This year’s route will begin at Cate and Main Street and continue south down Main Street, until ending at Oak.
Registration is now open until Friday, November 24th. Parade staging information for participants will be emailed out the week of the parade.
In addition to the parade day competitions of Best Float, Best Dance, Best Band, and Best Overall Performance, the FOA has a new float design competition this year, allowing participants to compete for the opportunity to host Santa and Mrs. Claus on their float. Those interested may submit their original float that will feature the Clauses. To enter, submit original designs until November 1st. Winner will be announced November 3rd.
The Foundation of Arts is a non – profit organization, open year-round, offering community enrichment through arts education, live entertainment (community theatre, concert series, & more), and outreach.
The FOA is the “front porch” of our community. It is a gathering place, a visitor attraction, a landmark, and an anchor for the arts. We exist to educate and deliver a message that will encourage people to discover their own purpose as artists, embracing creative thought and diversity.
