Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – The trial dates have been set for the Bay man at the center of an investigation into two pedestrian crashes that left multiple people hurt and one dead.
Court documents show that a motion and plea day for 43-year-old Michael Vincent Coleman is scheduled for Dec. 3 and 18. The jury trial is scheduled for Jan. 4-8, 2027.

Coleman faces multiple charges including first-degree homicide following his arrest on Aug. 13, when police say he injured multiple people at two separate locations. One of the victims, 63-year-old Belinda Adams, was critically injured in the crash and later passed away.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Coleman’s arrest followed a massive police response after pedestrians were struck at the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Harrisburg Road and along the walking path at Craighead Forest Park. The incident culminated in a foot chase through the woods, an abandoned vehicle, and a physical struggle involving a Jonesboro police K9.

In addition to a $5 million bond, the judge ordered Coleman to wear an ankle monitor upon release. If convicted of the first-degree homicide charge, his sentence could be up to life in prison.
Coleman also faces multiple drug charges for an incident that occurred in July. Court documents indicate the trial dates will be the same as the pedestrian crash case.
