Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – Police arrested a woman after they said she attempted to run over a victim before crashing her vehicle into a Jonesboro apartment Saturday.

Jonesboro police responded to a reported private property accident with injuries in the 300 block of North Caraway Road on Sept. 19. According to the probable cause affidavit, a victim told officers that she and the suspect, 27-year-old Nautica Ann Rogers, of Little Rock, had been in an altercation.

According to the affidavit, the victim told police that as she attempted to return to her home, Rogers got into a vehicle, struck the victim’s car, drove over a sidewalk, and attempted to run her over before crashing into the apartment building.

Rogers was booked into the Craighead County Detention Center that morning. She appeared the following Monday for her probable cause hearing.

District Judge David Boling found probable cause to charge Rogers with aggravated assault, a class D felony, and a private property accident. Her bond was set at $25,000 due to prior arrests for violent offenses.

K8 News reported she was sentenced in March to 12 months suspended imposition of a sentence after police said she threw hot grease at another person.

Rogers’ next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 26.
