Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – A Jonesboro man on parole is facing felony drug and child endangerment charges after police said they found meth in his pocket and drug paraphernalia scattered throughout the home during a welfare check.
District Judge David Boling found probable cause Aug. 19 to charge 35-year-old Andrew Blake Barker with the following offenses:
- Possession of meth or cocaine less than two grams (Class D felony)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor)
- Third-degree endangering the welfare of a minor (Class B misdemeanor)
According to the probable cause affidavit, on Aug. 16, Jonesboro police officers responded to a home in the 1000 block of Kimberly Lane for a welfare concern on a child less than one year old. There, they met with Barker and the child’s parents.
One of the officers requested the identification of Barker and the parents. It was confirmed Barker was currently on parole and was searched, with the officer finding a small baggie of meth in his pants pocket.

The child was found on the bed in the parents’ bedroom. Officers were soon directed to the child’s room, and they found a pillow and blanket on the floor where Barker had been sleeping. They also found tattoo equipment on the floor, a metal-like plate with marijuana residue in the floor and other paraphernalia. Located on the shelf with the other baby toys was what appeared to be a baby labubu toy, but it turned out to be a marijuana bong.
While officers were in the child’s room, Barker said that all of the paraphernalia found was his without being questioned who it belonged to.
Officers noted that there was what appeared to be dog feces smashed into the carpet, ants, gnats, and piles of clothes all through the home with the paraphernalia and needles used for tattooing on the floor in the child’s room.
Barker is being held on a $25,000 cash/surety bond awaiting his next scheduled court appearance for Sept. 30.
