In a press release announcing the move, officials said Jonesboro was selected due to its business-friendly environment, strong supply chain infrastructure, agriculture industry, and skilled workforce.

“Some of the world’s largest food manufacturers do business in Arkansas, and we are excited SANY Nutrition Group is joining their ranks,” said Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders in the release. “Arkansas has one of the most pro-business environments in the nation. Between our low cost-of-living, short permitting time, skilled workforce, and strong agriculture industry, it’s no surprise the team at SANY picked the Natural State to manufacture their innovative and nutritious snacks.”

SANY Nutrition Group makes various high-protein, reduced-sugar, and plant-based snacks, as well as various sports nutrition bars, frozen snacks, pastries, and pet treats.

The announcement comes on the heels of the groundbreaking of InnovAsian’s frozen food manufacturing facility, which will bring an estimated 200 jobs to the area. It is projected to open and begin food production in 2028.

“We continue to find meaningful partnerships with industries in and around food and advanced manufacturing,” said Jonesboro Unlimited President and CEO Mark Young in the press release. “Jonesboro is the right place to be successful, and we are thrilled that SANY Nutrition Group has chosen to call us home.”
