Jonesboro, AR – Contributed – As students prepare for the start of the fall semester at Arkansas State University, campus organizers have a series of fun events planned to help them get acclimated to campus.  

The week of events, hosted by the Student Activities Board (SAB), will kick off Aug. 15 – 20 and take place throughout campus. Wolves Up Week is a series of campus activities and events to welcome students to campus. 

The first event of Wolves Up Week will be on Saturday, Aug. 15, when students are invited to Party with the Pack on Heritage Plaza Lawn starting at 6:30 p.m. Students will enjoy music, food trucks and singo.

Also Saturday, residence halls open for move-in, and Panhellenic recruitment, a three-day activity, concludes. 

SAB will brighten up Heritage Plaza Lawn with Light up the Lawn from 10 p.m. – midnight on Sunday, Aug. 16. This evening will be filled with music, light-up games, and ice cream. 

To help new and returning students get a handle on things ahead of the start of class, they are invited to attend Scout Your Schedule starting at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17, in Centennial Hall of Reng Student Union.  

Also happening on Monday, SAB will host a Sunset Social from 6 – 9 p.m. inside Red Wolf Center. At this event, students can enjoy food trucks, personalized merchandise, and live music. 

Students can beat the heat on Tuesday, Aug. 18, with a Splash Bash. The event, which will be held from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., will be on Heritage Plaza Lawn. Attendees can enjoy snow cones, water slides, and a mechanical surfboard. 

Wolves Up Week wraps up with Silent Disco, which will be held from 7:30 – 10 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20, inside Red Wolf Center.  

Later in the month, the annual A-State Community and Organization Fair, presented this year by Centennial Bank and St. Timothy’s Anglican Church, will be held from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26. This event features registered student organizations at A-State, campus departments, and local businesses.
