Craighead County, AR – Contributed – Highway 18 near Winesburg between Highway 91 and County Road 160 north of Highway 226 is scheduled to close around the clock from 8 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, through 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15.
Weather permitting, the closures will allow crews to construct a box culvert. Highway 18 will remain open to local traffic only on either side of the closure between Highway 226 and Highway 91.

There will be a signed detour in place. To reach the west side of the closure, traffic will take Highway 18 east to Highway 91, Highway 91 south to Highway 349, Highway 349 south to Highway 226, then Highway 226 west back to Highway 18.
To reach the east side of the closure, traffic will take Highway 18 west to Highway 226, Highway 226 east to Highway 349, Highway 349 north to Highway 91, then Highway 91 north back to Highway 18.
Construction barrels, barricades, and signage will be in place to notify motorists of the closures and detour routes.
