FALL GUIDE – Jonesboro Right Now – Getting out in your community and spending time with people at various festivals and Halloween events can be a great way to spend your fall.
We’ve compiled a list of all kinds of fall festivals and Halloween happenings across NEA this season.
NEA District Fair
- When: Sept. 24-Oct. 3
- Where: NEA District Fairgrounds, 7001 E. Johnson Ave. in Jonesboro
- Cost: Gate admission will be $6 for adults, $3 for children under 12, and free for children three and under.
- Details: The District Fair will feature food, various carnival rides, agriculture competitions, and more. More information here.
“Hocus Pocus” at the Collins Theatre
- When: Oct. 2 at 7 p.m., Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., Oct. 4 at 2 p.m.
- Where: Collins Theatre, 120 W. Emerson St. in Paragould
Cherokee Village Oktoberfest and Fall Farmers Market
- When: Oct. 3
- Where: 7 E. Cherokee Village Mall in Cherokee Village
- Details: This event will feature live music, pretzels, beer, brats, costume contests for both people and pets, and more.
50th Annual Bay Harvest Festival
- When: Oct. 3, with the parade beginning at 10 a.m.
- Where: Main Street in Bay
- Details: This festival will feature a parade, along with food, vendors, games, and plenty of live music. More information about the day’s festivities can be found here.
45th Annual Blessed Sacrament Church Fall Festival
- When: Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Where: Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1107 E. Highland Drive in Jonesboro
- Cost: Free admission
- Details: This event will include carnival games and inflatables, different food and drink vendors, a petting zoo, bingo, and more.
43rd Annual Trumann Wild Duck Festival
- When: Oct. 9-10
- Where: Trumann Recreational Complex, 16179 Pecan Grove Road in Trumann
- Details: This festival will feature carnival games, a car show, music and entertainment, vendors, and more.
Monette Fall Festival and Antique Car Show
- When: Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Where: Buffalo Island Central School Campus, 803 W. Drew Ave. in Monette
- Details: This event will include food trucks, arts and craft vendors, an antique car show, a dog pageant, children’s train rides, live music, and more. More information, including information for vendors wanting to book booths, can be found here.
Jonesboro Fall Fest
- When: Oct. 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Where: Downtown Jonesboro
- Details: This event will feature live music, vendors, food trucks, various fall activities, opportunities for autographs with A-State basketball players, a kids’ area, and more.
Arkansas Rice Festival
- When: Oct. 10
- Where: City of Weiner
- Details: The festival will include a rice cook-off, fishing rodeo, rice festival pageant, various food and craft vendors, a car show, and a rice threshing demonstration.
Valley View Fall Festival
- When: Oct. 11 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Where: Valley View School District in Jonesboro
- Details: This event will include games, vendors, and food. The purchase of vendor spots benefits the Valley View School District.
Bono Harvest Festival
- When: Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Where: Legacy Park in Bono
- Details: This festival will include arts and craft vendors, various food trucks, inflatables, and live music.
6th Annual Jonesboro Oktoberfest
- When: Oct. 17 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Where: All Saints Lutheran School, 1812 Rains St. in Jonesboro
- Cost: Free for those under 21; paid entry for those 21 and over. Prices to be announced at a later date.
- Details: This event will celebrate German heritage with an afternoon of games, good, live music, and more.
Gamble’s Spooktacular Festival
- When: Oct. 23 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Where: Gamble’s Home Furnishings, 5036 Highway 49 in Jonesboro
- Details: This event will include trunk or treating, bounce houses, food trucks and local vendors, a movie night, and a Halloween costume contest.
Trunk or Treat at Bearcat Grill
- When: Oct. 23 beginning at 5 p.m.
- Where: Bearcat Grill, 1 Kreed Lane, Suites 1 and 2 in Brookland
- Details: This is a trunk or treat event hosted in conjunction with Luxe Haven Boutique. Those interested in having a booth can contact Bearcat Grill here.
Trunk or Treat at Madilynn’s Scholar Academy
- When: Oct. 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Where: Madilynn’s Scholar Academy, 2110 Grant Ave. in Jonesboro
- Details: This event will feature various vendors and community tables, all while handing out candy.
Foundation of Arts’ “House of Villains”
- When: Oct. 23-26 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Where: The Forum, 115 E. Monroe Ave. in Jonesboro
- Cost: To be announced at a later date
- Details: This is a drop-in event where families can walk through interactive displays and meet various iconic villains. Organizers note that is event is suitable for all ages.
Magnolia Mental Health Fall Festival and Market
- When: Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Where: Shop Local Park, 24 County Road 912 in Jonesboro
- Cost: Free
- Details: This event will include live entertainment, including Marybeth Byrd, food trucks and local vendors, a planned silent auction, and more. Proceeds from the auction and vendor spot purchases will benefit Magnolia Mental Health. More information here.
Red Wolf Renaissance Fair
- When: Oct. 24-25 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Where: Access 6 at Craighead Forest Park, 4910 S. Culberhouse Road in Jonesboro
- Cost: $15 for adults, $18 for a weekend pass, and $8 for kids under age 12 if purchasing online. If purchasing tickets at the gates, adults get in for $18, a weekend pass is $25, and kids are $10.
- Details: This Renaissance fair will feature jousting, armored combat, a market with 89 vendors selling handcrafted goods, and more. Proceeds benefit red wolf conservation. More information here.
Central Baptist Paragould Campus Family Fall Fest
- When: Oct. 25 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Where: Central Baptist Paragould, 6205 U.S. 49 N., Paragould
- Details: This event will feature trunk or treating, food vendors, giveaways, and more.
Southwest Church and Breaking Bonds Trunk or Treat
- When: Oct. 25 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Where: Southwest Church, 1601 James St., Jonesboro
- Details: In addition to trunk or treating, visitors can also enjoy hot dogs and bounce houses.
Jonesboro Police Department Trunk or Treat
- When: Oct. 28 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Where: Downtown Jonesboro from Jefferson to Warner avenues
- Details: This event will feature numerous booths and trunks from community organizations handing out candy. JPD is accepting monetary or candy donations, click here for more information.
Sensory-Friendly Trunk or Treat
- When: Oct. 30 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Where: Arkansas State University Speech and Hearing Center, 2501 Danner Ave. on the A-State campus
- Cost: Free
- Details: This event is for children with disabilities and special needs. Children will visit sensory-friendly rooms with different Halloween activities, and a trunk or treat will take place at the building’s parking lot.
Jonesboro Human Development Center Spooky Walk-Run-Roll a-Thon
- When: Oct. 31. Sign-in begins at 7:30 a.m., with the race to begin at 9 a.m.
- Where: Jonesboro Human Development Center, 4701 Colony Drive, Jonesboro
- Cost: $30 registration fee. Those wanting a T-shirt must register by Oct. 16.
- Details: This event encourages families and their pets to race in full costumes on Halloween. The race will conclude at the JHDC Park with activities, snacks and entertainment. One pet will be chosen as the winner for best costume. Proceeds benefit the JHDC residents. Paragould Parks and Recreation Halloween Event
- When: Oct. 31, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Where: Paragould Community Center, 3404 Linwood Drive, Paragould
- Cost: Free
- Details: This is a trunk or treat event for area families.
3rd Annual Halloween Haunts on Main
- When: Oct. 31 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Where: Downtown Leachville
- Details: Downtown will be decorated in all things spooky and Halloween. Food trucks and bouncy houses will be there, and families can trick-or-treat from business to business. There will be hayrides, as well as a pumpkin carving contest and a costume contest.
“The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at Stage, Too
- When: Oct. 31 at 7:30 p.m.
- Where: Stage, Too venue, 330 S. Main St. in Jonesboro
- Cost: Admission to the show is free, but $20 prop bags will be available for purchase
