Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – Several events are scheduled at the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library in April.

The library will host an Introduction to Phone Apps program on Tuesday, April 14, from 1-2 p.m. in the Community Resource Room. Everett Hutton from the Arkansas 4-H Tech Change Makers program will lead this class, teaching participants about various apps to maximize their smartphone use.

Registration is not required for this event.

Then, on April 14 from 4-5 p.m., the library will host a Tween Workshop with the Bradbury Art Museum (BAM). Tweens in grades 4-6 will learn about Gelli plates and make artwork through printmaking. No registration is required.

On Thursday, April 16, the library has a Homeschool Hangout field trip to BAM from 2-4 p.m. Families participating in the field trip should meet library staff at BAM, located in the Fowler Center at 201 Olympic Drive, on the Arkansas State University campus.

Participants will enjoy a guided tour of the museum and take part in a hands-on art activity. No registration is required for this event.

The event is for children in pre-K through 6th grade and their families, with the Homeschool Hangout program as a whole designed to provide ways for homeschool families to connect and learn together through creative and educational experiences.
