Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Despite Jonesboro Economic Transit (JET) services closing today, rides to warming centers will not be affected.
JET posted on its Facebook that due to unsafe road conditions, it would not be running routes or services on Saturday, Jan. 24.
JET had been providing free rides to warming shelters run by both the City of Jonesboro and the Salvation Army. Despite this, rides to warming shelters will not be affected by the closure.

Lynette Hirsch, community engagement and marketing coordinator for the city, told JRN those who had been staying at the Salvation Army’s overnight shelter were transported to the Earl Bell Community Center, which opened early.
