Brookland, AR – (Contributed) – Wagner Medical Clinic announced plans for a new clinic in Brookland that specializes in comprehensive and personalized primary care services.

The clinic, Wagner Medical Clinic’s first location in Craighead County, will occupy space on the east side of U.S. Route 49 in Brookland, just south of the West School Street intersection.

Tommy Wagner, M.D., and his team of healthcare providers at Wagner Medical Clinic will lead the clinic’s primary care offerings, while St. Bernards Healthcare will oversee supplemental care, such as rehabilitation, lab and imaging services.

Dr. Wagner said the announcement furthers a partnership between Wagner Medical Clinic and St. Bernards that began in January 2013, when the two entities broke ground on a new clinic in Manila.

“We strive to make exceptional healthcare services that are trusted, accessible and compassionate,” Dr. Wagner said. “Partnering with St. Bernards these past 13 years has helped Manila grow and stay healthy, and I’m excited how this new partnership can do the same in Brookland.”

St. Bernards Healthcare President & CEO Chris Barber said that Dr. Wagner has successfully replicated his primary care model throughout Mississippi County and even on the other side of the state.

“We anticipate him having a significant positive impact on the Brookland community as well,” Barber said.

Since 2013, Wagner Medical Clinic has expanded to include four clinics. Its original location in Manila features seven healthcare providers as well as lab, imaging and rehab services provided by St. Bernards, a medical spa and an adjacent pharmacy.

In 2022, St. Bernards and Wagner Medical Clinic began offering after-hours and weekend Urgent Care services, the first clinic of its kind in western Mississippi County.
